The 19th International congress of the African Water Association (AfWA) was held on February 11 to 16, 2018 at Hotel de L’Amitie’ in Bamako, Mali under the theme: Accelerating the access to sanitation and water for all in Africa amidst the challenges of climate change.
The Congress is a biennial event that is held in an African capital city. The 2018 version was organized by the African Water Association in collaboration with SOMAGEP (Malian Drinking Water Company – Ltd) and SOMAPEP (Malian Drinking Water Patrimony Company – Ltd) and was attended by participants from more than 24 countries of the world.
