If you did not find it necessary to intervene while misrule was reigning supreme, you have no moral right to intervene when the people being misruled revolt whether in uniform or not. Not in any way justifying the coup in Niger, coups d’état are actually symptoms of the disease. Attacking the symptom never solves the problem. Poor governance is usually the disease and west African sub-region is fully infected with this disease.
