Reports of lopsided Police recruitment fill the air. The IG’s home state of Nasarawa, with its 13 LGAs is reported to have the highest number of candidates at 528 instead of 156 according to the guideline of 12 candidates per LGA. This is a massive distortion.
The president’s home state of Katsina is said to have the second highest at 435 candidates instead of 408. Numerous other irregularities have been reported. This government has continued to wear the garb of glaring nepotism. Is it possible that the president was behind it all?
Or sycophants tried to impress him, thinking they will be doing him some good. If he wasn’t behind it, and doesn’t endorse it, he should now swing into action and correct the anomaly immediately.
Those behind it all should of course be punished appropriately. This is the kind of thing that makes citizens not have faith in who is there when it’s not their ‘own man’.
