The 2016 Engineering Conference and AGM of Enugu branch of The Nigerian Society of Engineers took place on 25th August, 2016 at the Oakland Event Center, Ebeano Tunnel, Enugu.
The theme was “Agricultural Mechanization – A Remedy to Nigerian Non-Oil Based Economy.”
Present in the Engineering Conference and AGM were His Excellency, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (represented by the Enugu State Commissioner for Housing, Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa), Engr. Greg Nnaji(Enugu State Hon. Commissioner for Science and Technology), Engr. Mike C. Eneh (Enugu State Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture and Keynote Address Speaker), Engr. Batholomiew Ndidi Edeh (Chairman, The Nigerian Society of Engineers Enugu Branch and Host), His Royal Highness, Igwe (Engr) A.U. Otiji, traditional ruler of Agwobu Umumba, His Royal Highness, Igwe (Engr) Dr. Emma Ugwu, His Royal Highness, Igwe (Engr) Vin. I. Ekwedigwe, traditional ruler of Ijagwo Akiyi Umulokpa and other top dignitaries
Well enriched lectures were delivered by the key speakers and contributions from various participants were welcomed. Election was held for new executive and EngrOfiliIfeanyi emerged as the new Chairman of Enugu branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. A total of 141 corporate members were inducted into the Enugu Branch of Nigerian Society of Engineers.
