The 25th Engineering Assembly took place from 10th to 12th August 2016 at the International Conference Centre, The Dome, Akure, Ondo State. This was organized by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN. The theme was “EMBRACING THE FUTURE: Improving the Quality of Engineering Education and Practice in Nigeria”
Present in the COREN Assembly were His Excellency, Engr. David N.Umahi (represented by the Deputy Governor, Ebonyi State, Dr. Kelechi Igwe), His Excellency, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, (Governor of Ondo State and Host), Engr. Babachir David Lawal (SGF, represented President Muhammadu Buhari), Engr. Kashim A. Ali (COREN President and Co-host), Engr Ademola Isaac Olorunfemi,(Chairman Main Organising Committee and immediate past President of The Nigerian Society of Engineers) and rest of other top dignitaries and engineering personnel.
Well enriched lectures were delivered by the key speakers and contributions from various participants were welcomed. Plaques and COREN gift items were presented to guest speakers.
