I was gladdened to hear this morning on Channels TV Mr Ndi Onuekwusi, a Management/Development Consultant, say and explain professionally why and how our development does not depend on the system we operate but on us as a people.
This has always been my view, derived from my observation that the causes of our lack of development are not of the system but the attitudes of Nigerians.
As long as you know where you are going, and you are determined to get there, and take a step forward, and another, you will surely get there irrespective of the style of your ‘waka’.
The system doesn’t do things. It is human beings that do things. And when human beings do things wrongly, wrong results appear. All systems work well when human beings operate them well.
