Did the damage control go far enough?
Commuting a death sentence to 12 years imprisonment without strong reasons makes nonsense of the judge’s sentence.
For someone who has spent 8 years behind bars, the practical difference between the pardon and commuting the sentence is negligible.
Again, no heads have rolled so far for the embarrassment and may never roll so the mess continues to flow since deterrence remains absent
