El-Zakzaky has been reported to have contacted two Indian lawyers while on medical trip to India with the intention of seeking asylum, some Rights organizations with a view to weeping up sympathy against the Federal Govt of Nigeria.

The picture is getting clearer and our suspicion from the start has eventually been proved right. My suspicion was based on nothing more than his less than respectable conduct over the years and now seeing that the law has finally caught up with him in Nigeria.

My questions are:

  1. Why was he allowed visitors who were not contributing to his treatment?
  2. Why was a detainee patient allowed unrestricted telephone access?

Thank God he is back. I hope the law will quickly take its course.

Better still, I hope the Nigerian govt will learn to deal with problems when they are young.
