The action by the coalition that made the Kaduna Declaration two days ago should not have taken anyone by surprise.
Why? The Leadership in Nigeria has for decades allowed impunity at all levels to reign unchecked. More will come as long as people are allowed to operate outside of the law, including those in positions of authority, without being held accountable for their actions.
We must also note that breakup of Nigeria will not remove this leadership flaw from our society because every section of the country has its fair share of the problem. It is not too late for government to begin to do things right. Nigeria can still be great with everyone happy.
