I commend the governor of Edo State and others who helped to ensure that reprisals did not commence. The incident is shameful, as it is painful. The whole scenario clearly indicates that our social/security problems are not about to be solved.
Branding the armed victims hunters from Kano in Edo state! Is it a pen name? Or are they truly hunters hunting games in the forest as we know them? I have been trying to understand the situation but not making much progress. What sorts of game were they hoping to make to justify the trouble coming all the way from Kano only to hunt? Probably only elephants! And were they found with any? Since they were already on their way home, meaning the hunting expedition was over.
