The belated 20 or so minute nationwide broadcast by President Tinubu is still welcome. Did it go far enough?
It is good to have directly updated Nigerians on the achievements of his govt. However, he failed to address the much talked about cost of governance. He also did not say much about corruption and the performance of his appointees. He did not say what he intends to do to significantly ameliorate the pains of Nigerians in the short term. I do not think the speech has done justice to the issue at stake.
