I hear you.
But why must we remain in sheepish copying of a system designed for a society different from ours? Why can’t we design a system for our society which takes into consideration our peculiarities? Bearing in mind two things: cost reduction and discipline among our leaders. There can be no justification whatsoever for the quantum of money a poor economy such as ours spends on merely choosing our leaders, who simply impoverish us further and go away scot-free afterwards! Same goes for the quantum of money spent on them while in office. Their apparent limitless freedom to be as reckless as they wish while in office is totally unacceptable. What level of reform of such an alien system hinged elsewhere will yield the expected results?
