If Ekweremadu’s case was situated in Nigeria, he would not be in jail. He would not even have spent a night in detention, not because the provisions for jailing him are not active in Nigeria but because the operators of the Nigerian system would not do the right thing. If Donald Trump had been a former Nigerian president and his cases situated in Nigeria, he would not have been indicted for exact same reasons. Similar examples abound. Despite all these, some smart Nigerians want us to believe that all our problems emanate from our ‘bad’ constitution which is only fit to be committed to the garbage bin, and the operators remain blameless
