Our leaders do not seem to realize that it is far more effective especially in the long term to check insecurity by sanitizing our educational system both in terms of quality and capacity to take in all qualified Nigerian candidates and even foreigners. It is much harder to convince a medical doctor, an engineer or a PhD holder to become a terrorist of Boko Haram type or bandit of the type we have in the NW or other common criminal. This is in addition to numerous other benefits of quality education. Education has no alternative.
