Inviting security chiefs to appear before the house is simply about the usual shows organized by the NASS following serious failures in governance just to give the impression, they are doing something about it. These usually do not produce meaningful results.
Granted, the NASS has the power to invite any Nigerian for questioning or whatever, the service chiefs do not report to the NASS. They have a boss, from whom they take orders and to whom they report. If the NASS members are serious, they should summon(if they must summon) their boss and give him a deadline by which time he should have cut down the security problems by a certain percentage or get impeached. This I think will yield better results
