NFF decides to hire foreign coach.
I have always wondered if this flirting from local to foreign coach and back is the best for us. If the local coaches are not good enough, why can’t they be nurtured? With an effective succession programme properly entrenched. If we can have local professionals in other endeavours compete well with their counterparts in other parts pf the world, why can’t we grow our local coaches to the highest standards? I do not think we have not won the world cup because we lack talents within. We have not won the world cup because of the same reasons our other institutions are falling apart whereas the professionals that escape from them become stars abroad: attitude of our authority people. If hiring foreigners is the answer, why don’t we hire foreign president? Foreign ministers, lawmakers, etc because the local ones have failed woefully over the decades.
