A 60-year period is no small thing in the life of a nation. Most Nigerians are unhappy and dissatisfied with the level of development of our nation. True, Nigeria has performed badly when compared with some star nations such as Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil, etc., quite a lot of positive development has happened in Nigeria since 1960.
True also, and sadly, a lot of avoidable negative development has happened in 60 years. We must give thanks to God for the journey so far. What more, there is so much room for improvement. I wish all Nigerians a very happy Independence Day celebration, and the courage to resolve day to be the best Nigerians we can ever be.
