Listening and watching news of the movements and achievements of Gov Zulum, one wonders which tree this rare fruit was plucked from. Academically accomplished, the unquenchable zeal of Prof Zulum to better the lives of his people can be ‘seen’ even by the blind and ‘heard’ by the deaf.
He moves quite a lot, appearing to be everywhere in Borno state. 4 armed attacks on his convoy in a short time! Concerns about his life mount. Much of Borno state gives the feeling of being a large battlefield. The gov therefore can be looked at as a wartime General crisscrossing the battleground eager to win the battle.
Some governors whose states are enjoying peace do not traverse their states as much as Gov Zulum does in his state. He could have resigned to attractive comfort as the executive governor of the state. He ventures out to troubled areas to personally evaluate situations and ensure necessary actions are taken at the risk of his life.
All this out of concern for the ordinary people. How I wish all our leaders, from top to bottom, behaved this way.
