I hope the recently passed Police Reform Bill is not going to add unnecessary bureaucratic load on the whole process.
The concept of restoring the strength and dignity of the Nigerian Police Force is a pretty straight forward one for any regime that has a programme to do so.
This regime doesn’t seem to have one. Bills and reforms, if well thought out, will help, they have never been the main problem. We have always had enough playground to make the NPF twenty times more effective.
