I thought the best way to work with and for the president is to help him succeed. The way to do that is not to defend every move of the president whether right or wrong. Is it that the wise men surrounding the president starve him of wise counsel? Or the president turns deaf ears to wise counsel?

Why haven’t we had one wise man protest openly by at least resigning his appointment? Of what use is it for assisting personnel to keep praising the captain of a ship when the ship is sinking, and all will go down with it? Quite often the thrust of the VP appears differently directed from that of the President. Why that costly gap?
