I still say, the govt officials responsible for checking erection of unapproved structures should be made to pay a high price for their failures. It is not enough to go into deep slumber for 5 to 10 years, wake up one fine morning, issue notices and commence demolition. Where it can be proved that a rep of govt gave the developer a go ahead to build, the developer should be compensated by govt if the structure must be demolished
