7m Nigerians slipped into poverty in 2020 – WB.
True, both claims are not mutually exclusive, what is net?
If we assume Buhari’s 2-year period is 2019 & 2020 and allocate the number equally, we will have 5.25m Nigerians lifted out of poverty in 2020 while 7m went the opposite direction. You can conclude the arithmetic.That is on the one hand. On the other hand, does it mean the WB did not see those matching in the opposite direction? Or saw but failed to report it?
The president remains convinced that he would have lifted 100m Nigerians out of poverty by the end of his tenure. May God help us achieve the feat.
