Many people make the mistake of taking sides with whoever opposes the government they are not happy with no matter the reason for or method of the opposition.
This attitude often blinds the person from the need to evaluate each situation before taking a stance. This also happens where governments are not involved, in day-to-day operations in normal society.
My thinking is that the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend.
